Through more than 25 conferences over five days, the organizers want to provide the players from various industries with resources to speed up economic transformation. This transformation consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating a favourable environment to help kick-start the economy<\/li>\n<li>Making the economy more resilient<\/li>\n<li>Combatting climate change<\/li>\n<li>Reducing the environmental footprint<\/li>\n<li>Protecting natural resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Speakers include Federal and Provincial Ministers, politicians and some of our collaborators such as <a href=\"https:\/\/iveo.ca\">IVEO<\/a> and Bertrand Picard from the <a href=\"https:\/\/solarimpulse.com\/\">Solar Impulse Foundation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conceptgeebee.com\/en\/geebee-received-the-label-efficient-solution-by-solar-impulse-foundation\/\">which we are proudly part of<\/a>. They will be presenting various innovations, recovery plans and green energy projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The White Paper for a Green Recovery<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9cotech Qu\u00e9bec took the opportunity to release its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecotechquebec.com\/documents\/files\/Etudes_memoires\/ecotech-quebec-livre-blanc-pour-une-relance-verte.pdf\">White Paper for a Green Recovery<\/a> (available in French only) to establish its outlook for a post-pandemic recovery. The document suggests 15 \u201crealistic and realizable\u201d actions to help develop cleantech in Quebec, but also on an international scale.<\/p>\n<p>Those actions are separated into four different categories: Financing Chain, Research and Innovation, Large-Scale Deployment and Coherence and Complementarity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is green technology and economy? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As mentioned in the White Paper, a \u201cgreen technology\u201d is either a product, service, system, or method that allow its users to increase their efficiency while reducing environmental impact. For a technology to be considered green, its positive impact must be demonstrated in many other areas such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diminishing exploitation of raw materials<\/li>\n<li>Reducing energy use<\/li>\n<li>Producing renewable energy<\/li>\n<li>Reducing GHG emissions<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Green economy means low-carbon economy. It also means rational use of limited resources and limiting the environmental impacts in all economic activities.
